#2 Josie Milton
Forward
Josie is an exciting young prospect, who joins us from Peterborough Phantoms.
In her first ever season playing ice hockey, Josie racked up 5 points in 12 games, as the Phantoms made it to the playoffs. In the first half of her season with the Kodiaks she has more than doubled her number of points.
A quick skater and hard worker, Josie has a lot of promise. She is a key part of the team.

#3 Clare Ledbury

Defender Clare joins us from Milton Keynes Falcons in WNIHL 1, where she spent three seasons. Before then she was captain at Peterborough where at WNIHL 2 level, she has 70 points in 136 games from the blue line.
A hugely experienced player, we’re looking forward to having Clare join our ranks.

#6 Saara Karvonen

ALTERNATE CAPTAIN
Saara joins us from Peterborough, where she played a key role in helping the Phantoms reach the playoffs last season. Scoring 11 goals and 17 points in 12 games.
Before coming to England, the Finn scored 69 points in 96 games in the Swiss leagues with Université Neuchâtel and Forward-Morges.

#7 Stella Lemin
Goaltender
Stella joins the Kodiaks after a stint away from the game but brings unique experience, having iced as both a player for Invicta Dynamics and Bracknell Fire Bees, and as a goalie for Chelmsford Cobras.
A tenacious player Stella brings a depth of hardwork to the ice everytime she steps on.

#9 Joa Hoshizaki

The former Cambridge University Women’s captain joins after 4 years with the Blues.
The defender was a high scoring presence from the blue line, picking up 31 points in 48 games, including 18 goals.
An intelligent player with offensive instincts, she’s a powerhouse defence that we are thrilled to have on the team.

#10 Yuyan Jiang
Defence
Yuyan Jiang joins the squad as a defender from the University of Cambridge Women’s Blues. After making the leap from our B Team this season, she’s shown rapid improvement and secured a well-earned spot on the roster.
With strong vision and smooth puck movement, Yuyan plays a smart, reliable game from the back.

#11 Cherry Hambelton-Smith
Goaltender
Cherry joins from Chelmsford Pythons, where she played as a defender but, before then she was a goalie for Chelmsford’s senior side, the Cobras.
Cherry brings WNIHL 1 experience and a cool head to the Kodiaks. Her quick reflexes and game knowledge give her an added edge between the pipes.

Catherine joins the Kodiaks from Streatham Storm Development, but also spent three seasons with the Cambridge University Women’s blues, where she was a teammate of current Kodiaks Joa Hoshizaki, and Katy Cartlidge.
An energetic centre, Catherine brings a quick pace and tough forecheck to the game.

#13 Beth Woolston-Romano

A quick and sharp defender, Beth joins us from Chelmsford where she spent 2 seasons playing with the Cobras in WNIHL 1. Giving her an edge for the quick pace of the game.
Her speed and tenacity along the boards make her a fierce presence on our D line. Not one to give up, she works hard and is fitting in beautifully. She is a brilliant addition to the squad.

#17 Vicki Loveday
Defence
Defender Vicki joins the Kodiaks from Chelmsford Pythons, and before them, she iced with the Invicta Dynamics, Chelmsford Cobras and the Romford Nighthawks.
Vicki lends a lot of experience to the club, showing day in and day out what hard work looks like. Her constant presence gives certainty to the defensive line.

#18 Julia Maybury

The Kodiaks are delighted to welcome Julia Maybury into the red shirt this season.
Centre Julia, joins us from the University of Cambridge where she racked up 25 goals and 44 points in 18 games for the Women’s Blues. Before coming to England, she had 50 points in 48 games for Boston College’s club side in the ACHA.
Julia is a smooth skater with excellent positional play, and we can’t wait to have her on board this season!

Ruby joins the Kodiaks after recording 6 goals and 6 assists in just 8 games last season—finishing second in team scoring.
At only 18, she’s a promising young forward with a powerful presence on the ice. A true power forward, Ruby drives the net with confidence and is quick to pressure the puck.

The Kodiaks are pleased to announce the return of forward Rachel Holland!
Rachel joined us from our initial open sessions last summer, having previously played in Swindon, before becoming a central part of the Kodiaks squad.
In the Kodiaks red, Rachel picked up her highest ever points tally with 3 goals and 9 points.
A hard worker who sees the ice well, she is a key player on our offensive line up. Her tenacity and drive lend themselves to some epic play making moments.

Nat is a talented prospect who has stepped up from the Kodiaks B Team to become a regular on our league roster.
A natural on the ice, she’s a strong skater with solid positional awareness. Always working to improve, we’re excited to watch her development continue as a Kodiak in the seasons ahead.

#28 Sophie Heather
Forward
Key forward Sophie Heather has returned for a second season with the Kodiaks.
Jumping into the position of Centre for the first time last year, Heather embraced each and every challenge thrown her way.
From nothing her first senior goal to appearing in a personal record of 15 games, Heather was a force on the ice.
Her can-do attitude is a key component to driving the forward line, while her backchecking skills have frustrated opponents throughout the season.

Making her league debut, Alice joins the squad from Cambridge University and the Kodiaks B Team.
With just two years of goaltending under her belt, her rise has been remarkable, earning league status through standout performances. She played a key role in big wins for Cambridge University and has already made some incredible saves for the Kodiaks this season.
Quick, focused, and tough to beat, Alice is proving to be a wall between the pipes.

Jess joins us from Milton Keynes Falcons development. Before a stint away from the game, she was a regular in their Premier/WNIHL 1 team.
A force along the boards and in the corners, Jess is an all around player that shows dedication both on and off the ice. Throughout the season she has been key in creating opportunities in front of the net and defending in her home zone.
She has also played defence for MK Ice Breakers, wearing the A.

Defender Ronnie joins us from Streatham Storm where she iced for both their Elite League side and their B team.
With an eye for the ice and the ability to read the play her defensive prowess makes her a an incredible addition to the team.
Ronnie has also played at Southampton University, where she was a teammate of fellow Kodiak Katie Goodwin.

Erin is a promising young talent, joining the Kodiaks on a two-way deal from the MK Falcons.
Her speed and puck-moving ability make her a key asset on the blue line, while her strong defensive instincts and natural feel for the game make her tough to beat and hard to get past.

Another regular at Cambridge with the Warbirds, Liz started hockey with Surrey Police Lions joining the RAF Vulcans.
Liz was one of the first players to join our open sessions. Her hard work both on and off the ice lends itself to continual improvement throughout the season.
Her positional play and reliability on thge ice make her an invaluable addition to the roster.

Our Canadian captain is back for another season after leading the team through a highly successful first year, both on and off the ice.
Ashley recorded 57 points in 16 games, finishing as the top scorer in WNIHL 2 and across all women’s leagues in Britain. Her quick feet, sharp hands, and consistent performance made her a standout player throughout the season.
Her determination on the ice and positive presence off it continue to make her a key part of the team.

#87 Alicia Anderson

Alicia burst onto the WNIHL 2 scene last season, scoring on her debut against Cardiff and going on to tally 19 goals and 28 points in just 9 games. At the same time, she captained the Cambridge University Blues, posting 49 points in 17 BUIHA games.
Splitting her time between forward and defence, Anderson was a driving force behind the team’s playoff push. With speed, grit, and a deadly shot, she’s a constant threat wherever she is on the ice.

Alecia makes her league debut this season, joining the Kodiaks from the RAF Vulcans.
An athletic goaltender with plenty of potential, she brings fierce competitiveness both on and off the ice. With sharp reflexes, a strong work ethic, and a talent for pulling off jaw-dropping saves, Alecia is already a key part of the Kodiaks’ success this season.
